Your System is a Garden, Too

⌝ A generative real-time audiovisual ecology. ⌞

Produced by: Futuredeluxe

‘Your System is a Garden, Too’ is a shy, generative & anti-interactive audiovisual installation, site-specific for the Disseny Hub in Barcelona as a part of the ‘Digital Impact’ exhibition, built in collaboration with ‘Antfood’ + ‘Artists & Engineers’. The piece consists of four distinct generative real-time visual habitats and eight channels of interconnected real-time generative audio that interact with both the visitors and the flora systems to create a multi-sensory experience. Living flora appendages by Manuela Sosa are incorporated to heighten the multi-sensorial symbiosis across all systems.

The Trail They Blazed is a traveling exhibition built collaboratively with the community that participated in the local Civil Rights Movement and those working to preserve its legacy. The work attempts to clarify the process of making change by breaking down historical examples from the New Orleans Civil Rights Movement of the 1950s–70s, and, in so doing, creates a better understanding of the past.

In June 2022, Zac Greenberg, Phil Cotter, and Stacy Sims, led the Architecture of Sound Co-LAB. The experience engaged museum staff, families, teens, and the general community in listening to and making music within the spaces of the Contemporary Arts Center. Recordings from those sessions were incorporated into these sonic architecture journeys, composed by Zac Greenberg and Phil Cotter and narrated by Stacy Sims.

The paintings in The Poetry of Nature reveal the natural wonders that sparked the first artistic movement in the United States. Sketching outdoors and composing their ideal visions of the landscape in their studios, these artists filled their canvases with majestic mountains, tranquil valleys, enchanting forests, shimmering lakes, and luminous skies. Greenberg set the collection to sound in the 2019 Taft instillation.
